What I'm up to lately
I'm currently a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Delaware.
Housed in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, I blend aspects of UX Research, Human-Centered Computing, Human-Computer Interaction, and Computing Education (CEd) to center stakeholders' lived experiences and needs in conversations around educational innovations in CEd.
An abundance of other things about me
Education
I received my MS and Honors BA with Distinction in Computer Science from the University of Delaware in 2022 and 2020 respectively.
Honors and Awards:
Teaching
I have 4+ years of experience teaching across levels. Since 2019, I have been facilitating professional developments for K-12 teachers interested in teaching computer science. Previously, I have co-designed and co-taught an undergraduate seminar course on Equity and Inclusion in Computing Innovations. I also have field teaching experience introducing computer science to K-12 grades in both formal and informal learning environments in the United States and beyond.
Interactive Media and Art
I have been passionate about digital/print media and art for many years. I earned my minors in Interactive Media and Art at the University of Delaware in 2020 and was involved in various media-related efforts at the university; I was a Visuals and Photography Editor for The Review, a student-run newspaper publication, and Head Layout and Art Editor for Main Street Journal, an art and literary magazine. I was also fortunate to work as a Digital Media Intern with the university's College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment, creating digital content to inform environmental public education.
I have hobbies too!
Ask me about music making, traveling, hiking, house plants, photography, and my dainty vinyl collection!
